The Chinese startup company Xiaomi recently launched the Mi 6 handsets, it rolled out in Asia and South America. But it would not be launching the device in the EU and US market for now.

In the year 2015, the company officially issued power banks and audio accessories in both markets. According to the report of Wang Xiang, a Vice President at Xiaomi said that the company is looking to focus on its operations in the countries it is present in. He also said that the company has no immediate plans of getting in the US and EU smartphone market anytime soon.

The company's engineers being incapable of carrying out the rigorous testing required to ensure compatibility across all carriers in the US. He said that the company has decided to launch in the US by two years later.

Wang isn't worried about catching up with these Chinese competitors later, Quoting a proverb, "Haste makes waste.' You need to focus with patience and wait for the perfect opportunity".

The company gained their market shares in countries like India, Indonesia, Myanmar and Ukraine and would be focussing its operations in these markets rather than expand into developed markets such as the US and Europe.
