The five-episode docu-series will premiere on Peacock on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024. All episodes, each 80 minutes long, will be released simultaneously.

Plot

Peacock’s new true crime docuseries, World’s Most Notorious Killers, delves into five chilling international murder investigations. Each episode re-examines a different case involving some of the most infamous criminals worldwide. 

In each episode, you’ll encounter figures like Jack Unterweger, who deceived the public after his release, and Christopher Dawson, whose wife's mysterious disappearance shocked Australia. The series also features Charles Sobhraj, known as "The Serpent," who promises a shocking new story now that he is free.

The series features firsthand accounts from former detectives, family members, lawyers, forensic scientists, and journalists who are all committed to seeking justice for the victims.

• Season 1 Episode 1: The West Murders (Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024) - A missing girl case uncovers a shocking finding: a burial ground of bones beneath Fred and Rose West's house in Gloucester, England, along with numerous disturbing family secrets.
• Season 1 Episode 2: The Vienna Strangler (Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024) - A series of puzzling deaths in Vienna, Austria, are connected to murders in Los Angeles, California. Austrian celebrity Jack Unterweger is revealed to be the first serial killer to commit murders on both sides of the Atlantic, reporting on his own crimes and staying hidden in plain sight all this time.
• Season 1 Episode 3: The Monster of Belgium (Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024) - "The Monster" is suspected to be involved in the mysterious disappearance of six Belgian girls. There are concerns that this infamous serial killer might be connected to a powerful international pedophile ring.
• Season 1 Episode 4: The Murder Down Under (Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024) - Lynette Dawson, a caring wife and mother, goes missing from her Australian home in 1982. A few days later, her husband, Christopher Dawson, moves their teenage babysitter into their home. It takes 40 years for the case to be finally solved.
• Season 1 Episode 5: The Serpent (Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024) - Charles Sobhraj, a convicted murderer, has confessed to killing tourists in Southeast Asia. He is now a free man and has given a shocking new story in an exclusive interview with the US media.
