Could Landman return to dig even deeper into its intense world? Here’s everything we’ve uncovered so far—stay tuned as we keep updating with the latest news!
Currently, Landman season two has neither been officially canceled nor renewed by Paramount+. However, the cast and creators have hinted at a promising future for the series.
Demi Moore, who plays Cami Miller, shared an optimistic update during an interview with Deadline at the Cannes Film Festival, saying, “I’ve already completed the first season, and I’m excited for us to start the second, which will be at the beginning of next year.”
Similarly, Jon Hamm fueled speculation during CNN’s New Year’s Eve special, telling Andy Cohen, “I’m hoping. Stay tuned. That’s all I can say” (via Newsweek). Co-creator Christian Wallace also expressed enthusiasm for continuing the series, telling The Direct, “I think we really just skinned the surface on our first season, and that’s saying something because they cover a lot of ground. So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while.”
Additionally, Ali Larter hinted at plans already being in place for production, teasing in an ELLE interview:
Interviewer: Does production have a timeline set for the next season?
Larter: We do. [Silence.]
Interviewer: So, ‘soon.’
Larter: [Laughs.] I know. Exactly. I’m like, ‘Just announce it!’
The show’s strong reception further supports its chances for renewal. According to Variety, the premiere attracted 6.7 million households worldwide in its first week, a record for Paramount+ originals. Billy Bob Thornton earned a Golden Globe nomination for his role as Tommy Norris, and Demi Moore won Best Actress at the 2025 Golden Globes for her performance in The Substance.
Taylor Sheridan, the show’s co-creator, has a lucrative deal with Paramount to produce original content, which increases the likelihood of Landman continuing.
The Landman season one finale set up multiple storylines for season two. Tommy’s uneasy alliance with cartel boss Gallino introduces new challenges as they partner in the oil business. Meanwhile, Monty’s death leaves Tommy and Cami in charge of M-Tex Oil, forcing them to navigate power shifts and a high-stakes farm-out deal.
Cooper’s budding romance with Ariana adds a personal subplot as he pursues his dream of starting his own oil company. With personal ambitions clashing with volatile alliances, season two promises more drama, power struggles, and intrigue in the high-stakes world of oil.
All ten episodes of Landman season one are now streaming on Paramount+.
