Yellowstone season 5 episode 12 has been killing off fan-favorite characters recklessly this season. It began with Kevin Costner’s John Dutton in episode nine of season 5. Who met their end in Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 12?

In Sunday's Yellowstone season 5 episode 12 called Counting Coup, ranch hand Colby Mayfield was killed off. However, he met his end by accident when in an attempt to save young Carter, he got killed by a horse. When he was working with the animals in the barn, he saw the man-eating black stallion knock over the water bucket. 

Carter slipped inside the stable wanting to help the animal and slipped out with the bucket to bring water to the animal. However, when he went back in with the filled bucket, he got cornered by the animal. Colby rushed in and saw Carter with his face bloodied and the horse getting agitated as time went by. 

Colby instructed Carter to escape while he pushed back the horse. So, Carter escaped but by the time he came back to shoot the animal, it was over for Colby, who was kicked by the horse to his death. Colby’s death takes the death tally to three as Sarah Atwood was shot in episode 11.
