As summer unfolds, three visitors enter their world, each drawn to Janet's magnetic presence. Lacy’s vivid inner world begins to blend with reality, capturing the delicate experience of a child’s shifting bond with her mother.

Like Water For Chocolate (Sunday, Nov. 3)

This series delves into how traditions can trap individuals and stand in the way of love. Tita de la Garza and Pedro Múzquiz are deeply in love but kept apart by rigid family customs. Set in a world of magical realism and vibrant flavors, Tita battles between her family’s expectations and her pursuit of love. Through it all, her sanctuary becomes the kitchen—where her passion for cooking becomes an act of rebellion, infusing her recipes with emotions that deeply affect all who taste them.

Call Me Ted (Wednesday, Nov. 13)

This six-part documentary series dives into the remarkable life of media mogul Ted Turner. Written and directed by Keith Clarke, with production by Joni Levin, and executive producers John C. Malone, Brian L. Roberts, Charles F. Dolan, and S. Taylor Glover, the series offers a comprehensive look at Turner’s legacy and impact on media, business, and culture.

Carville: Winning Is Everything, Stupid (Thursday, Nov. 14)

Renowned Democratic strategist James Carville, famously known as the “Ragin’ Cajun,” reflects on his pivotal role in shaping modern political history—from masterminding Bill Clinton’s 1992 victory to his surprising influence in the 2024 race. The documentary also explores his unique 30-year marriage to Republican consultant Mary Matalin, featuring insights from figures like Bill Clinton and George Stephanopoulos.

Dune: Prophecy (Sunday, Nov. 17)

Set in the expansive Dune universe, Dune: Prophecy journeys back 10,000 years before Paul Atreides, following two Harkonnen sisters as they confront forces that could shape the future of humanity. Inspired by Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, the series explores the origins of the Bene Gesserit. Alongside the show, Max will launch a companion podcast, featuring exclusive insights from the creators and cast to help fans dive deeper into Dune’s intricate world. This series is one of the top must-watch releases on Max in November.

Night Is Not Eternal (Tuesday, Nov. 19)

Night Is Not Eternal offers a profound look into political activism through the lens of Chinese American filmmaker Nanfu Wang, who spent seven years documenting the journey of Cuban activist Rosa Maria Paya. As the daughter of renowned dissident Oswaldo Paya, Rosa strives for democratic reform in Cuba. Inspired by her own experiences with oppression in China, Nanfu captures Rosa's growth from a local activist in Havana to an influential global figure. Through this journey, the documentary reveals the resilience and risks activists face in the fight against authoritarianism.

Surveilled (Wednesday, Nov. 20)

Surveilled follows The New Yorker journalist Ronan Farrow as he delves into the booming commercial spyware industry, tracing its origins from New York City to Tel Aviv, a hub for espionage technology. Having been a target of covert surveillance himself, Farrow investigates this multibillion-dollar sector, highlighting the dual nature of phone hacking: its potential for monitoring criminal activity and the significant threats it poses to civil liberties. The documentary raises crucial questions about privacy and the implications of a world increasingly reliant on surveillance technology.

The Sex Lives Of College Girls Season 3 (Thursday, Nov. 21)

Created by Emmy-nominated writer and producer Mindy Kaling alongside Justin Noble, this series revolves around a group of college students navigating life at the prestigious Essex College in New England. The cast features regulars Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Mia Rodgers, and more, showcasing their diverse experiences and challenges in the academic world. The Sex Lives Of College Girls season three is one of the top highlights coming to Max in November.

Get Millie Black (Monday, Nov. 25)

Ex-Scotland Yard detective Millie-Jean Black returns to Kingston to tackle missing persons cases. In her quest, she seeks to save a sibling who resists help, find a child who is lost, and solve a case that threatens to shatter her world. The series features a talented cast, including Tamara Lawrance, Joe Dempsie, Gershwyn Eustache Jnr, and Chyna McQueen, as they navigate the complexities of crime and personal struggle.

Second Chance Stage (Thursday, Nov. 28)

Second Chance Stage is an innovative talent competition that gives contestants who have long set aside their dreams a fresh opportunity for a big break. Hosted by Emmanuel Acho, the show features judges Taye Diggs, Heidi Gardner, and Martina McBride, who will support participants in their journey to rediscover their passion and talent.

Sweethearts (Thursday, Nov. 28)

In this romantic comedy, two college freshmen agree to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break, sparking a wild night out in their hometown that challenges their close friendship. The film features an ensemble cast, including Kiernan Shipka, Nico Hiraga, Caleb Hearon, Tramell Tillman, Ava Demary, Christine Taylor, and more, as they navigate love, friendship, and the chaos of young adulthood.

Music Box: Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary (Friday, Nov. 29)

Music Box: Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary explores the rise of West Coast soft rock, showcasing artists like Christopher Cross, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Steely Dan, and Toto. Initially coined "Yacht Rock" in 2005 by a parody series, this easy-listening genre from the late 1970s and early 1980s faced mockery from critics but has since regained its rightful place in music history. This engaging documentary celebrates the laid-back sounds that captured a generation and highlights their enduring impact on pop culture.
