What is the plot of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t?

The synopsis of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t from Lionsgate states: “The Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.”

While plot leaks are sparse, it looks like the Four Horsemen might be retired initially in the film, but are then pulled back for a heist involving a valuable diamond. The first look was unveiled at CinemaCon 2025 and it was announced there that a fourth film was getting developed as well.

In an interview with IndieWire in 2016, Jesse Eisenberg revealed how the film was ripe for a franchise. He said: “It’s a storyline that doesn’t feel finite, it’s a world that feels worthy of extension and a topic that seems fresh enough to continue, so this seems like a good one. The decision is probably based on the demand for it rather than our Machiavellian intentions.”

Recently, Lionsgate completed a promotional stunt that shocked everyone! They gave away $250,000 in digital payments. A Times Square billboard showed the words “Now You See Me” with a live countdown clock as well as a phone number.

When the countdown hit zero, the billboard flipped to show the phrase, “Now You Don’t.” People who called or texted that number were given cash prizes. Alongside the cash prize, they also got the official trailer.
