At the end of season 1, the team finds their coveted prize on a Caribbean islet. When their pursuers catch up with them, Lili uses this chance to escape with the Kaan Balam artifact. But Miguel, refusing to let her get away, shoots her in an attempt to stop her. The bullet hits Lili and she falls into the ocean.Â
Octavio, Inés, Miguel, Lucas, and Citlali divide the money among themselves which they get from selling the treasure. Lili’s share is also divided equally among them. Miguel also gets Wilson’s share as was the latter’s dying wish. Citlali and Lucas start a romance, and Octavio helps Inés get back to her son. It might look like season 1’s story was perfectly wrapped up.Â
But that’s not the case. It is revealed that Lili didn’t die. In fact, Miguel and Lili had planned to fake her death to deceive their pursuers. In her stead, a decoy dead body which couldn’t be identified was left behind. Miguel keeps this a secret from everyone else as well.Â
He and Lili use this opportunity to go on their next mission- the secret treasure of the Tear of Fire. Miguel says that it’s the largest treasure ever seen. Season 2 will definitely see both on their next adventure.Â
The action-packed trailer shows Lili and Miguel on the search for the Tear of Fire diamond. But their mission isn’t easy as they are being pursued by a shadowy group of people who want it at any cost. Moreover, there’s a connection between the leader of this gang and Lili.
