The CMA Music Festival takes place every year and it brings together hundreds of performers and hundreds of thousands of people. If you missed the 2019 CMA Fest, you will be able to watch a special on ABC. If you want to watch the music event online, you can do that quite easily, and we're going to tell you how.
This year, the CMA Fest began on June 6th and ended on June 10th, which means there were quite a few days of partying taking place on multiple stages. Artists like Carrie Underwood, Cassadee Pope, Florida Georgia Line, Hunter Hayes, Keith Urban, and many others performed.

The CMA Fest will air on ABC as a three-hour prime time concert special on August 4th, between 8 and 11 p.m. EDT. Let's see how you can watch the show the CMA Fest online?
Nowadays, people use the Internet to watch a lot of content, and not always this content can cross the border with you when you go on vacation, for instance. That's because licensing deals to prevent these streaming services from allowing this to happen. What this means is that the sites know your location by looking at your IP address. Thankfully, IPs are super easy to change, and all you need to do is to subscribe to a VPN service. Let's see what you need to do.
Absolutely, you can! ABC's website features a live stream that you can access. But you do need to keep in mind that in order to access this live stream, you need to log into an account. For this account, you will actually need credentials from your TV provider whether a live TV service or cable company. Of course, our recommendation is you subscribe to a live TV service anyway because those will give you access to a lot more channels.
A great way that you can watch TV nowadays is over the Internet, which is the same pipe we use for pretty much anything else that we do, whether we're talking about socializing with our friends, listening to music, or binging on our favorite TV shows. Live TV platforms come with the advantage of being a lot cheaper than cable plans. Plus, there are actually no contracts involved in here, and you can cancel your subscription at any time you no longer feel like paying for it or that the service is no longer the same quality as it was before. The best part, however, is that you can watch your favorite TV shows and events wherever you may be, as long as you have a compatible device and an internet connection. Let's see what options you have.
Hulu - The first on our list is Hulu, which is a great service that's been around for a long time. The $44.99 per month plan gives you access to dozens of channels, including ABC, as well as the full video on demand library. You can customize your plan a little bit by adding any of the two-channel packs that Hulu has at its disposal and several premium networks.
YouTube TV - The next one on our list is YouTube TV, which is a single bundle platform that comes with some of the best features for subscribers, such as unlimited Cloud DVR storage space. The list of channels does include ABC, so you're going to be able to easily enjoy the CMA Fest. There are no channel packs to add here, but there are a few premium networks that we're sure you're going to enjoy.
DirecTV Now - We must also discuss DirecTV Now, which is a platform that has seven bundles to choose from. Two of these bundles were added earlier this year, namely Plus and Max, while the other five have been around for a really long time, but they simply got a new name and a price hike. You will be able to find ABC on both Plus and Max, as well as Entertainment, Choice, Xtra, Ultimate, and Optimo Mas. If you're thinking about adding even more content, you're going to be able to add foreign channel packs as well as several premium networks.
PlayStation Vue - The last service on our list is PlayStation Vue which is one of our favorites ever since we reviewed them all. This one provides users with four bundles to choose from, namely Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra. ABC is part of all of them, so you can pick the one that has the right channel combo or the right price. If you need more content, you can add a couple of channel packs and several premium networks. One of the best parts about PlayStation Vue is that subscribers get to enjoy recording up to 500 programs to the cloud DVR and watching on up to 5 devices at once.
For many years now, TV antennas have been a valid option for those who no longer wanted to use cable companies to watch TV. Antennas are relatively cheap, and you get to watch TV for free so what's not to love? Well, perhaps the fact that you only get to watch a few dozen channels instead of the hundreds that cable provides. On the other hand, it's free, so you can't really complain too much.
Before you go ahead and purchase a TV antenna, you should check a site like NoCable which provides you with information about the networks that broadcast over-the-air in your location and how strong the broadcasting signal is. This should also tell you whether going for a TV antenna is really a solid option for you, as well as what range to look for in a device when making a purchase. We've given you a suggestion, which is a pretty solid device that comes with tons of positive reviews, but you can do your own research, of course.
We would love to hear back from you so you can tell us which platform you chose to watch the CMA Fest on, so drop us a note in the section below the article.
