The final season of the Showtime series The Affair is finally coming to the channel. If you want to watch season five of The Affair online, we're going to help you through it.

The Affair is a show that first premiered in 2014, and it has now reached the fifth season. The story follows two people called Noah and Alison who engage in an extramarital relationship. The final season will feature a time jump where we'll see Anna Paquin as the daughter of Alison, looking to find out how her mother died. Throughout the series, each episode has featured multiple perspectives, with the story told through the eyes of several people.

The fifth season will feature 11 episodes, and it's going to debut on Showtime on August 25th, 2019. If you want to watch The Affair online, we are going to give you a helping hand.

How to Watch The Affair Online?

In the past few years, we have all begun watching more and more content online. The difference is that the content that runs through live TV platforms and streaming services is all protected by licensing deals so you can't watch it when you're abroad. Basically, as soon as you cross the border and your IP changes, you're no longer going to have access to the platforms you pay money for. All you need to do in order to bypass this geoblockade is to change your IP address to trick the system into thinking you're still in the United States and for this, you're going to need to subscribe to a VPN service. We are even going to guide you through it.

Can You Watch The Affair on Showtime's Website?

The Showtime website does feature a live stream that you can access since it is a subscription-based channel. You will need to log into an account to have access to the stream and you're going to have to either subscribe to the platform directly or use your TV provider credentials to log in. These can come from a live TV service as the ones we're going to present to you or a cable provider. We simply suggest you go for a live TV platform over cable because those give you access to a lot more channels.

How to Watch The Affair Without Cable?

For many years now it has become evident that watching TV over the Internet is what the future is all about. These live TV platforms are far cheaper than cable plans are, and since there are no contracts involved, you can cancel them at any time and switch between services. The best part is that you no longer have to hurry back home to watch your show when it starts airing because you can watch on your smartphone, for example, as long as you have an internet connection. Let's see what live TV platforms will get you access to The Affair.

fuboTV - We are taking off our list with fuboTV, which is a platform that is quite famous for the many sports channels that it features. For the past few months, they have also added loads of entertainment channels and plenty of family-oriented networks. If you want to customize your service, you can add loads of channel packs and premium networks, including Showtime, which will cost you $10.99 per month.

Sling TV - The next one we are going to discuss is Sling TV, which is a versatile platform that comes with loads of customization options. There are three bundles you can choose between here, namely Orange, Blue, and Orange+Blue, and you can add loads of channel packs and premium networks to better tailor the service to your needs. Showtime is part of the offering, and it will cost you a flat $10 per month to get all the channels.

Showtime - We can't go on without actually discussing Showtime's own subscription model because you can pay directly to the network. It will cost you $10.99 per month, and you get a week of free access. You can purchase access to Showtime through a series of other platforms such as Amazon and Roku. The channel comes with apps tailor-made for Fire TV, Fire TV stick, fire tablets, Apple TV, iOS, Android devices, Android TV, Chromecast, Xbox One, Roku, certain Smart TVs, and Oculus go.

Hulu - The next platform to make our list is Hulu, which has two services to offer you. The first one is the video-on-demand platform, and the second is a live TV service. The live TV service covers dozens of channels and access to the video-on-demand library. Regardless of which one you're going to choose, Showtime can be added to your subscription for $10.99 per month, which will help you pay a single bill each month.

YouTube TV - We also have a single bundle platform from Alphabet Inc., which is YouTube TV. The monthly subscription price covers some great channels, as well as some really awesome features such as the unlimited Cloud DVR storage space. There are no extra channel packs to add on YouTube TV, but you can add some premium networks, including Showtime. Here, it will only cost you $7 per month to access channels.

DirecTV Now - Next up, we have DirecTV Now on the list which is a platform that runs seven bundles. Two of them, namely Plus and Max, were added earlier this year, but the other five - Entertainment, Choice, Xtra, Ultimate, and Optimo Mas - were only given a new name and a new price. There is the possibility of customizing your platform by adding a couple of Spanish channel packs, three international packs, and plenty of premium networks, including Showtime, which will cost you $11 per month.

PlayStation Vue - We are ending our list with PlayStation Vue which is an excellent platform that gives subscribers access to five simultaneous streams, which is more than we have seen in other services, and enough Cloud DVR storage space to record up to 500 programs. You will find that Showtime is already part of the Ultra bundle, which costs $84.99 per month, while also hosting HBO. If you go for any of the other bundles, you can add Showtime for $10.99 per month or $8.99 per month if you're also PlayStation Plus subscriber. You can also choose to pay $14.99 per month or $11.49 per month with PlayStation Plus for a combination of Epix Hits and Showtime.

How to Binge-Watch The Affair?

On Showtime you will be able to access all the episodes that have aired so far from The Affair. In order to log into an account on Showtime, you need credentials from your TV provider that shows you are paying for the service. On top of watching Showtime, you can also find the full seasons that have aired so far on Hulu.

If you want to go a step further and you really love The Affair you can purchase the episodes and seasons so you can watch them at any time from platforms like Google Play, YouTube, iTunes, Microsoft Store, Amazon Prime, and Vudu. You should really check all these platforms before making an acquisition because they may have better prices available for certain seasons.
