When you're looking to cut the cord with your cable company, you're probably also looking into taking your favorite channels with you. So, if you want to watch Starz without cable, that's perfectly doable, and we know just how.
Starz is a premium cable network that features loads of motion pictures like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle or Passengers, and TV series like America to Me, Power, or Outlander.
You can view Starz via three different over-the-top (OTT) platforms, and another extra way, which we'll talk about it later. So, let's find out more.
First up on our list is Sling TV, a great platform that offers three starter bundles and loads of customization options. The starter bundles are Orange ($25/mo), Blue ($25/mo), and Orange + Blue ($40/mo). Starz can be added to the mix by purchasing the dedicated pack for $9 per month. The pack includes access to Starz, Starz West, Starz Edge, Starz Comedy, Starz Kids & Family, and Starz Encore. Read our Sling TV review to figure out if this is the right platform for you.
Next up we have YouTube TV, which is a great platform that takes "take it or leave it" to the extreme, only offering one bundle of channels for $40 per month. Starz isn't among those, however, since it's a premium channel. But you can, however, get access to Starz by paying $9 per month. Find out more about this platform by reading our YouTube TV review.
Another great platform on our list is DirecTV Now, which comes forward with five starter bundles with prices ranging from $40 to $75 per month. Now, if you really want to watch Starz you have a few options. First of all, you can add access to Starz for $8 per month, no matter which bundle you picked. If you pick the Gotta Have It bundle, which costs $75 per month, you'll also get access to Starz Encore Action, Starz Encore Black, Starz Encore East, Starz Encore Family, Starz Encore Classic, Starz Encore Suspense, Starz Encore West, and Starz Encore Westerns. Read up on our DirecTV Now review to get all the info you need.
Of course, we also have Hulu, which is an amazing platform that's been around for quite a while. You probably know it best for the video-on-demand service it offers, but it has offered live TV as an alternative for quite a while now, for $39.99 per month. There are also a couple of recently-added extra channel packs - Entertainment Add-on ($7.99/mo), and Espanol Add-on ($4.99/mo). Starz is part of the premium networks it offers to users, costing $8.99 per month. Make sure to give TechNadu's Hulu review a read before making a decision.
Another great alternative is to get Starz straight up from the company. You can do this even without a cable contract, and it will cost you $8.99 per month, or $74.99 if billed annually. You can watch on your computer via your browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari), or download the dedicated app for iOS and Android devices, Kindle Fire tablets and phones, Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick, Roku, Xbox One and Xbox One S, smart TVs from Sony, Samsung or LG. Give our Starz review a read to understand the network better and see what options you have.
We hope we've been of help in pointing you in the right direction to watch any of the Starz channels without cable.
