Tinder has partnered with Spotify to introduce a new 'Music Mode' for its users to help them find their matches through new and original means, creating a deeper connection between them. The new feature is found in the Explore section of the popular dating app, and it's a whole new way of finding your match on Tinder.

Tinder announced its Anthem feature in partnership with Spotify back in 2016, but it will become available in the coming weeks in the markets where Spotify is available. Users must link their Spotify accounts to their profiles and add an "Anthem" song, so when visiting a potential match's profile, you can listen to a 30-second repeating segment of their chosen song, called Anthem.

"Explore gives members the option to view profiles arranged by interest, and offers them new ways to connect with a growing list of shared social experiences, like Hot Takes, Vibes, Swipe Night and now, Music Mode," said Tinder in the relevant announcement. "Music Mode lets our members experience the feeling when they're at a party and found out others love the same songs like them. Tinder's Music Mode amplifies the whole dating experience. Songs are deeply personal, and Music Mode allows you to spark something new through music."

Tinder reported that almost 40% of its Gen Z members already have Anthems added to their profiles, resulting in an increase of 10% in matches. Also, they say Music Mode uses the natural connection between music and human relationships by letting users find others who love the same music.
