HBO’s The White Lotus season three is heading toward an explosive finale, and episode six, titled, “Denials” turns up the heat with shocking revelations and unsettling twists. With only two episodes left, tensions reach a boiling point as the Ratliff family unravels, long-simmering conflicts ignite, and dangerous secrets come to light.
From Tim Ratliff’s growing existential crisis to a deeply unsettling moment between brothers Saxon and Lochlan, The White Lotus season 3 episode 6 sets the stage for an intense conclusion. Let’s break down the whole episode!
One of the most shocking moments of The White Lotus season 3 episode 6 comes when Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) begins to piece together what really happened during the previous night’s drug-fueled yacht party.
Flashbacks reveal that while Lochlan (Sam Nivola) was losing his virginity to Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon), Saxon was right beside him—crossing a boundary that neither of them can fully process the next day. The revelation shakes Saxon, who initially struggles to accept the truth before confronting Chloe, who confirms what happened.
Nivola reflected on Lochlan’s motivations in an interview with TV Insider, explaining that his character is deeply insecure and eager to please, particularly when it comes to Saxon. “He’s a people pleaser,” Nivola said. “Saxon’s the sex guy. He likes sex, so he’s talking about, ‘You got to get laid.’ And [Lochlan’s] like, well, that’d be a great thing for us to do together. I mean, of course that’s not what’s going through his head. He’s incredibly fucked up on drugs and alcohol, but I think it really comes from a sort of primal place of insecurity and sort of twistedness.”
This twisted dynamic is just one part of the Ratliff family’s dysfunction. Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) is also caught in the web of her family’s toxicity. Earlier in the season, Saxon made an unsettling comment about her virginity, which only deepened her discomfort within the family. “Anyone talking like that without her knowing would make her shudder,” Hook said. “But the fact that it’s her older brother and her brother that she kind of despises—it’s just all kinds of foul to her.”
Meanwhile, Tim (Jason Isaacs) is grappling with his mortality in an increasingly unsettling way. After contemplating suicide in the previous episode, he now imagines scenarios in which he follows through with it. His visit to a monastery with Piper offers a moment of clarity—or perhaps further despair.
When he asks the monk what happens after death, he’s told it’s like “a drop of water meeting the ocean.” The thought seems to bring him comfort, which may not bode well for his future. Elsewhere, Greg—who is actually named Gary—sets a trap for Belinda, who is already feeling uneasy about him. He invites both her and Saxon over for dinner, raising fears about his true intentions.
After waking up next to Pornchai that morning and reuniting with her son Zion, Belinda briefly feels a sense of security—until Greg reappears. His presence makes her more determined than ever to leave Thailand, especially after he creepily offers her a private conversation at his house.
The episode also deepens the divide between Kate, Jaclyn, and Laurie, whose friendship is now hanging by a thread. After Kate sees Jaclyn sneaking around with Valentin, she shares the information with Laurie, sparking another layer of betrayal.
Jaclyn initially denies the affair, but when confronted, she turns the blame on her friends, further driving a wedge between them. With their next dinner set to be a tense affair, it’s clear that their bond may not survive the rest of the trip.
As episode six ends, the Ratliff family stands on the brink of implosion. Lochlan remembers what happened with Saxon, Tim seems dangerously close to a breaking point, and Greg’s plan remains unclear but deeply unsettling. With Rick seeking revenge, Belinda fearing for her safety, and the family’s dark secrets coming to light, the final episodes promise a dramatic and shocking conclusion.
The White Lotus season three is now streaming on HBO and Max, with new episodes airing weekly on Sundays. The seventh episode, titled "Killer Instincts," will premiere on March 30, 2025.
