Makers of The Rising of the Shield Hero have released a brand new trailer for the series' second season. According to reports, MADKID will perform the opening theme, "Bring Back," while Chiai Fujikawa will perform the ending piece, "Yuzurenai," in the upcoming season. Fans were also treated to a new visual and additional info about the series.
In March 2021, Crunchyroll announced that the second season of The Rising of the Shield Hero would be available to users in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. The second series was originally scheduled to premiere in October 2021; however, it was rescheduled to April 2022.
One of the main reasons that Shield Hero gained momentum as a fresh new Isekai anime series is its protagonist, Naofumi. Like most other Isekai protagonists, Naofumi arrives in another world and is excited for whatever adventure awaits him. However, the character goes through quite the learning curve in the new world he finds himself in.
Rather than being a lauded hero, Naofumi is deeply despised by the people of the magical world he is transported to. He faces a constant necessity to prove himself to the citizens that only see him as a villain.
After assembling a band of heroes of his own, the second season will see Naofumi in a much better spot when it comes to his reputation. However, the season will also feature our protagonist facing some serious threats. Check out the newly released trailer for Season 2 of the series below:
