FX has revealed the trailer for the second season of The Old Man, and we can't wait to finally stream it online after two years of waiting. Based on Thomas Perry’s novel of the same name, The Old Man is about a former CIA spy, Dan Chase, who has been living off the radar and is drawn back into the action when an assassin starts hunting him. He must come to terms with his past in order to protect his future.
A big change we're looking forward to in the new season is watching leads Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow share scenes together. Co-creator Jonathan E. Steinberg said that he was more than happy to write scenes for the two together. Speaking about how he got to spend time with Lithgow while shooting season two, Bridges said, "We’re both second-generation actors and we approach it the same way. There are a lot of actors who say, ‘Please only call me by my character’s name’ or, ‘Let’s not have any contact.’ We’re the opposite of that. Let’s be friends. Let’s get to know each other. Let’s do it quite aggressively!"
That being said, we have collected all available information about The Old Man season two, including the release date, where to stream it online, the plot, cast details, and trailer. Keep reading this article to know more! We will regularly update it with new information to keep you informed.
The Old Man Season 2 will premiere on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at 10 p.m. ET on FX. You can stream the next day on Hulu.
In season two, Chase and former FBI Assistant Director Harold Harper go on their most important mission yet: to rescue Emily Chase after she is abducted by Faraz Hamzad, a powerful Afghan tribal leader. With all three men claiming her as their daughter, Emily faces an identity crisis with serious implications. As the hunt continues, Hamzad has to make choices that could put his family and village in danger, and Khadija is worried about her brother's decisions. Zoe does surprising things after meeting Chase, and Julian is not happy with his old job and has to make a big decision.
