What is the plot of The Glass Dome?

The Glass Dome follows criminologist and behavioral scientist Lejla as she returns to her childhood village in Sweden—a place haunted by a traumatic past. Years ago, as a young girl, Lejla was abducted and held captive inside a glass dome by an unknown perpetrator. Though she escaped, her kidnapper was never found, leaving deep scars that shaped the course of her life and career.

Now returning to the same community, which has been strained by tensions between old traditions and modern changes, Lejla plans to settle into retirement with her partner Valter, a former police chief. However, her return quickly takes a dark turn when the daughter of an old friend, Alicia, vanishes without a trace. The disappearance bears chilling similarities to Lejla’s own abduction, forcing her to confront long-buried memories and fears.

As she and Valter begin their investigation, the quiet village reveals its undercurrents of secrecy and suspicion. Everyone seems to be hiding something. The case pulls Lejla deeper into the mystery, blurring the lines between past and present.
