The tv anime adaptation for Mato Sato's yuri light novel series, "The Executioner and Her Way of Life," has finally announced its release date for 2022! The story centers on Menou, a talented Executioner who one day fails to take out her target—Akari, a Lost One who unknowingly possesses the inability to die. Alongside the news, new character trailers featuring the girls of the fantasy yuri series have also been unveiled.
J.C.Staff is in charge of the animation production. The staff includes Yoshiki Kawasaki as the director for the series. Teruhiko Niita serves as the art director, while Ayasa Okada is the color designer. Other members of the staff include:
The original "The Executioner and Her Way of Life" light novels written by Mato Sato and illustrated by Nilitsu are published in Japan by SB Creative under their GA Bunko imprint. The light novel series began in 2019 and had six volumes as of August 2021. A manga adaptation began in 2020. An English language version of the series is also available from Yen Press.
"The Executioner and Her Way of Life" anime series is slated to release on April 1, 2022. Fans might be confused seeing a different release date for Japan. However, the difference in dates is only because of the time difference, since the series releases at 12:30 AM Japan time on April 2, 2022.
