Prime Video has just unveiled the first look at The Devil’s Hour season two, offering a thrilling glimpse into the next chapter of this mind-bending supernatural series. The show, which quickly gained a devoted following after its debut in Oct. 2022, is back to continue the eerie tale of Lucy Chambers, a social worker haunted by unsettling visions at precisely 3:33 AM — the so-called "devil's hour."

Created by Tom Moran with Peter Moffat as showrunner, the series has garnered near-perfect ratings on Rotten Tomatoes and has already been renewed for a third and final season.

The first season left viewers on the edge of their seats as Lucy's connection to a series of brutal murders and the enigmatic Gideon, played by Doctor Who alum Peter Capaldi, was revealed. Season two picks up where the suspenseful first season left off, with Lucy and Gideon forming a precarious alliance to prevent a recurring tragedy and pursue an elusive monster. As Lucy juggles her double life, torn between family and duty, new challenges arise — including facing her past-life husband, DI Ravi Dhillon, and the ever-present threat posed by Gideon.

Recent first-look images have given fans a taste of what's to come, showing returning cast members like Jessica Raine, Peter Capaldi, and Nikesh Patel, as well as introducing new faces like Saffron Hocking from Top Boy as Detective Sergeant Sam Boyd.

Plot

In The Devil’s Hour season two, Lucy (Jessica Raine) and Gideon (Peter Capaldi) find themselves forming an uneasy alliance to prevent a recurring tragedy and hunt down an elusive monster. Lucy, now leading a double life, is caught between her family and her duty, especially as she becomes entangled with her past-life husband, DI Ravi Dhillon (Nikesh Patel). Dhillon, investigating new mysteries, is assisted by DS Sam Boyd (Saffron Hocking), whom Lucy mentored in a previous life.

As the story unfolds, Isaac (Benjamin Chivers) grapples with new emotions and the reality of his existence, which seems increasingly unstable. The tension builds as fresh mysteries converge towards a single, explosive moment that threatens to alter the fates of all characters involved.

Season two continues the story of Lucy Chambers, a social worker who is haunted by terrifying visions at exactly 3:33 AM every night. After being linked to a series of brutal murders in the first season, Lucy is pulled deeper into a dark and mysterious world, now having to team up with Gideon to stop further chaos. As past and present lives intertwine, the stakes are higher than ever.

The Devil’s Hour season two promises to dive deeper into its eerie and complex narrative. The first season left off with Gideon escaping custody, setting the stage for the time-warping chaos that will undoubtedly impact Lucy and the other key characters as the series progresses.
