The BritBox app is now available for Virgin TV users who can directly access it through their latest set-top boxes, as per the BritBox UK and Virgin Media O2 announcement. This means the BritBox app is available to all Virgin customers who own TV 360 or V6 set-top boxes.
It is also available to stream without a cable connection on various devices, like phones, tablets, Apple TV, Roku, LG and Samsung smart TVs, etc. You can get a subscription to BritBox for £5.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial.
With the launch of ITV's new streaming service ITVX later this year, Virgin TV customers who subscribe to the premium tier of the new app will also have access to BritBox. ITV hasn’t revealed the price of the ITVX premium membership yet. However, the current ad-free content on ITV Hub+ costs £3.99 per month.
This means you can now watch the best of British entertainment on your Virgin TV, including shows like Broadchurch, Downton Abbey, Vera, Only Fools and Horses, and Love Island, along with exclusive original content such as "Sanditon"Â Season 2 and Hugh Laurie's adaptation of the Agatha Christie classic "Why Didn't They Ask Evans?." BritBox offers one of the most expansive streaming collections of British TV - from classics to exclusives, you can watch content across various genres, such as comedy, mystery, history, cooking shows, and much more.
