This casting seems to have been a longtime desire of Eric Kripke, who also created Supernatural. In an interview with Variety in 2024, The Boys creator said, “I feel like I have to complete my game of ‘Supernatural' Pokémon and I have my one big one - very big one - left to catch."Â
Kripke later revealed that he was indeed in talks with Padalecki for a role in The Boys season 5 Check out the announcement below:
Apart from Ackles, Padalecki, and Collins, other Supernatural cast members have also appeared in the show. Jim Beaver played Robert Singer, Jeffrey Dean Morgan played Joe Kessler, and Rob Benedict played Splinter.Â
Jensen Ackles will be a part of a prequel show called Vought Rising alongside Aya Cash. As for whether we will see Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins in the show or not, that remains to be seen.Â
