The Bachelor season 29 is going on and episode 3 has dropped a bombshell on everybody! The episode featured a one-on-one date between Grant Ellis and Carolina Quixano. However, the initial plan was for Grant to enjoy a one-on-one date with Beverly Ortega. But, shocking everyone, she left unexpectedly. What was the reason behind her exit? In this article, we will discuss just that.
Beverly Ortega, a 30-year-old insurance salesperson hailing from Howard Beach, New York, exited The Bachelor season 29 in episode 3. The day Beverly and Grant’s one-on-one date was supposed to go on, the women said that she was sick and wouldn't be returning to the house.
Reportedly, Beverly got sick after the basketball date and had to be hospitalized. She wasn’t given the medical clearance to show up for this episode, so she went home. Her Biography on the Bachelor reads:
“With a beautiful smile and a personality to match, Beverly is a sweetheart ready to find love. She comes from a close-knit, loving family, and her parents' 30-plus-year marriage has been the blueprint for the kind of love she wants for herself. Beverly is ready for a man that will truly love her. She's looking for a partner who is trustworthy, kind and understanding. When she's not working, Beverly likes to go shopping or watch her favorite movies like "Titanic" and "The Princess Diaries." Will Beverly find her fairy-tale ending with Grant? Only time will tell…”
Viewers don’t yet have much information about Beverly, but it is well-known that she almost competed in the Miss Dominican Republic competition. However, she instead opted to compete for the Mrs. Ellis title. In episode 2, she impressed Grant with her basketball skills. It’s also impressive that she was able to get a one-on-one date with Grant this soon. As such, her departure is shocking and saddening.
New episodes of The Bachelor Season 29 will premiere on Mondays at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. You can stream the show on Hulu the next day.
