Golf fans, rejoice - there's another tournament just around the corner! The Memorial Tournament will kickstart soon, and we're going to watch the whole event online. Let's figure out how you can do that as well.
The Memorial Tournament has been taking place since 1976 at the Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. It's one of the five tournaments that have "invitational" status, with only 120 players joining in.
In 2019, the event was won by Patrick Cantlay from the United States, while Bryson DeChambeau won the prior year. We'll have to wait and see who takes the trophy home this year.
Unlike many other golf tournaments this year, this one will actually allow spectators. They will have to respect the regulations, however, and wear masks to protect themselves and others. They'll also have to complete symptom questionnaires and have their temperatures taken, while purchases at concession stands will only be allowed with credit cards. The 6-feet social distancing will also be required for non-family members.
Tiger Woods will, in fact, make his return to golf at the Memorial Tournament this year. As one of the best golf players in history, Woods announced that he would be returning to this invite-only event. This will be the first time he participates in the PGA Tour since the Genesis Invitational back in February, after choosing to stand down from the many events that have since taken place.
I’m looking forward to playing in the @MemorialGolf next week. I’ve missed going out and competing with the guys and can’t wait to get back out there.

The Memorial Tournament will kick off on July 16th and will last through July 19th. Both Golf Channel and CBS cover the event. You can check the schedule below.
The total purse for the Memorial Tournament is $9.3 million, with the winner taking home $1.674 million - which is just a little bit more than last year.
We live in the digital age, so it makes perfect sense to watch TV over the Internet, as this allows us to travel where we're needed while also keeping an eye on our favorite events with the help of mobile devices. One of the best live TV platforms to enjoy watching the Memorial Tournament is fuboTV.
Start your free trial on fuboTV now!
There are a few plans available here, and they all feature both CBS and Golf Channel. You can also customize your plan by adding extra channel packs or premium networks, as well as add-ons to expand the cloud DVR storage space or the number of simultaneous streams.
fuboTV works on loads of devices, including iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, and more. You can download whichever ones you need and watch content on multiple devices at once - two with the base plan, and three if you get the add-on.
Watching the Memorial Tournament online isn't that difficult to do. There are several other live TV platforms and streaming services that will help out, as well as a few live streams. Let's dive into those.
Hulu - Hulu is a cool service that features a single bundle of channels where you'll easily find both CBS and Golf Channel. If you want even more content, they have a few channel packs you can add or several premium networks. When you subscribe to the Live TV service, they also give you access to the Hulu On-Demand library, so you have loads of content to play. Start your free trial of Hulu!
Sling TV - We also have Sling TV on the list here, and it's a versatile service. CBS is not part of the deal here, but you can get Golf Channel. First off, you should know there are three bundles here. Your choice will influence the number of simultaneous streams allowed on your account, with Orange subscribers getting one, Blue subscribers getting three of them, and Orange + Blue subscribers four.
Once you've made your choice, you can pick the Sports Extra pack for an additional $10 per month, as that's where you'll find Golf Channel. More packs are available, depending on your preferences, as well as premium networks. Watch 3 Days Free on Sling TV Now!
CBS All Access - This is yet another platform you can try out. Exclusively featuring CBS content, including a live stream and original shows, CBS All Access comes with two subscription plans - Limited Commercials and Commercial Free. Your choice depends on how many ads you can tolerate. CBS All Access is the only way to get to a CBS live stream outside the live TV platforms we mentioned, as there's none available on the regular CBS website. Start your CBS All Access free trial now!
Golf Channel Website - You can also find a live stream for the Memorial Tournament on the Golf Channel website. You can access it by logging into an account with credentials from your TV provider in order to prove that you have a subscription that includes the network.
If you're outside the US for any reason, you won't be able to access any of the platforms mentioned above to enjoy the Memorial Tournament. That's because all of them are geo-blocked, so they'll recognize your IP and prevent you from accessing the site. This situation is annoying, but it can be fixed with the help of a VPN.
VPNs can change your IP in a matter of seconds by routing your connection through their own servers. In the process, they also assign a new IP address, so you appear to be wherever you need to be. Our recommendation is ExpressVPN, which has thousands of servers all over the world, including numerous in the United States, spread over several locations.
You simply have to subscribe to the service (49% OFF), sort out the apps, and pick a US server to connect to. Once that's done, you can load fuboTV and start watching the Memorial Tournament online.
Here's the catch - this is possible, but only with the golf rounds covered by CBS. CBS is one of the few channels that still broadcast over-the-air, so you'll be able to enjoy the weekend coverage for the Memorial Tournament.
Before buying a TV antenna, you should visit a site like NoCable so you can find out more details about the channels that broadcast in your area, including whether CBS is on that list. You'll also see how far all broadcast stations are from your home, so you'll know what range you need your device to cover. Make sure you also look into the devices above in case they fit your needs.
