Teasing Master Takagi-san's upcoming anime film has just released its main visual! This year, the film is slated to air just ahead of the summer release schedule. It is based on the original manga series of the same name and its spin-off, "Tomorrow Is Saturday," written and illustrated by Sōichirō Yamamoto. The upcoming film is titled "Teasing Master Takagi-san: The Movie."
The Teasing Master Takagi-san manga was first serialized in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday Mini in 2013 before moving to Gessan Shonen Sunday in 2016. It is published under the Gessan Shonen Sunday Comics label. Fans looking to read the manga series can check it out on Yen Press, which publishes the manga in English. Teasing Master Takagi-san's upcoming anime movie has revealed its main visual, depicting lead characters Takagi (Rie Takahashi) and Nishikata (Yuuki Kaji) with a cat! The movie, titled Eigaban Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san, is set to premiere in Japan on June 10. The movie’s staff includes several returning members from the anime series, like Akagi Hiroaki as director.
Aya Takano returns as character designer, Hiroaki Tsutsumi as the music composer, Hiroko Fukuda, Aki Itami, and Kanichi Katou as scriptwriters. Fukuda, the series composer, also handles the movie’s story composition. Shin-Ei Animation is once again the animation production company. Check out the main visual for the upcoming film below:
Yen Press, which publishes the Teasing Master Takagi-san series in English, officially describes the story as:
"Middle schooler Nishikata has had it with his classmate Takagi--the chronic teaser who sits nearby. Day in and day out, she comes after him with every sort of trick or prank. Even when he tries to get her back, she's always one step ahead. But rest assured, it's only the beginning. He's not about to give up that easily in this battle of cunning and youth!"
