A new reality series from CPL Productions, the masterminds behind hit shows like Married at First Sight and Love Is Blind, is on its way, and we are excited to stream it online. Titled Stranded on Honeymoon Island, the show will start with a speed dating event, where participants will be paired off and married. Unlike MAFS, they won't be going to a comfortable life at Skye Suites. Instead, the newlyweds will be left on a desert island.
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC said, "We are thrilled to be bringing this dating reality format to the BBC. This unique new dating series will see couples who have previously been unlucky in love being paired up and sent straight on their honeymoon with no phone, no apps and no contact with the outside world - let’s see if they can make it work on their desert island and find love."
The show first aired in Belgium, and then versions were shown in Germany, Portugal, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic.
In this article, we will provide you with all the information you need to know about Stranded on Honeymoon Island, including where you can stream it, the plot, an official trailer, and more. We will also keep this article up to date with new information and updates, so keep checking back for the latest details.
Stranded on Honeymoon Island will premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK in 2025. This season will consist of 12 episodes. The Australian version, narrated by Jackie O, will premiere on Channel Seven and 7Plus.
Twelve singles who have had bad luck in love will be paired into couples and taken to a deserted island. They will be stranded there and faced with the challenges of nature. Will true love survive in these conditions? In this unique dating format, six couples are expertly matched, and after committing to each other in a private ceremony, they are left in a beautiful remote location for an exciting adventure.
On these isolated beaches, new relationships are quickly put to the test as the couples live together and take care of themselves with limited resources. Stranded and alone, they must communicate and work together to survive, with no way to escape when things get difficult. Will getting away from modern life bring them closer or drive them apart?
The cast details have yet to be announced, but don't worry—we will update this space once the information is available.
We don't have a BBC trailer yet, but you can watch the Channel Seven trailer below:

CPL executive producers include Murray Boland, Danielle Lux, Dermot Caulfield, and Rachel Viner; Katie Taylor and Chantal Boyle are the Commissioning Editors for the BBC; and it is distributed by Seven. One Studios International.
