Stacey & Joe follows Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash as they open the doors to Pickle Cottage, offering a candid look at their modern blended family. Filmed during the summer and autumn of 2024, the series captures major milestones, family chaos, and heartfelt moments.
The show documents their second wedding anniversary, revealing how they met and fell in love. Cameras follow 16-year-old Zach as he awaits his GCSE results and Stacey as she wins big at the National Television Awards. As the couple navigates their busiest year yet, they take a much-needed family holiday to Turkey, hoping to find balance amid their packed schedules.
Stacey, who has spent the past year prioritizing family time, shares: "2024 was the year me and Joe pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones. We took on different projects and tried new things. It’s been so amazing and nerve-wracking all at the same time… And we just want to keep doing that in 2025, starting with Stacey & Joe!" Joe adds, "There will be the normal madness of a family with lots of kids, plenty of animals, and two busy parents.” (via BBC)
The series also highlights their ambitious passion projects, including building a two-acre fishing lake, all while juggling work and parenting five children—Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose, and Belle—alongside their four ducks and two dogs.
In a first for Stacey, the show offers an inside look at her home beyond the snippets she shares on social media. Viewers will see the inventive decor of Pickle Cottage, from DIY projects to seasonal transformations.
BBC describes the series as a "major fly-on-the-wall" documentary (via Good Housekeeping), delivering a refreshing and honest take on family life. As the year unfolds, the series concludes with a festive Pickle Cottage Christmas, bringing the whole family together for a heartwarming finale.
Stacey and Joe will star in the series alongside their children—Belle, Rose, Rex, Leighton, and Zachary—offering a glimpse into their blended family life. Viewers will also get to see their beloved pets, including four ducks and two dogs, with fans hoping Stacey’s sister, Jemma, might make an appearance as well.

Last May, Stacey Solomon revealed that she was stepping back from her showbiz career to focus on being a stay-at-home mum. She decided to only take on work that allowed her to stay at Pickle Cottage or avoid being away for too long and making a reality show with the BBC an ideal fit.
Speaking on the Glad We Had This Chat podcast, she shared: "Every year, I have a team meeting with my agent and everyone on the team to say ‘What’s your plan, what’s your goals, blah, blah, blah’. And this year when they asked me my five-year goals, I was like ‘I want to be a stay-at-home mum’." (via Yahoo UK)
She added that while she still has personal aspirations, her priority is spending time with her children: "So what I'm trying to do at this point is make sure everything that I work on I can work on 90 percent of the time at home. And then just do passion projects outside of the house and then try and be around for them more."
Since they began dating in 2016, Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have built a blended family with five children. They share Rex (5), Rose (3), and Belle (2), while Stacey is also mum to Zachary (17) and Leighton (12) from a previous relationship. Joe has a 16-year-old son, Harry, from a past relationship. The couple tied the knot at Pickle Cottage in July 2022.
The series is set at Pickle Cottage, so it’s highly likely! One major project the viewers can look forward to is the creation of a two-acre fishing lake. Stacey, known for her DIY expertise as the Tap to Tidy author, Loose Women panellist, and Sort Your Life Out host, has been transforming Pickle Cottage since moving in March 2021. She’s constantly finding new ways to make the house feel like home.
Last year, she tackled several ambitious renovations, including painting the white kitchen black, converting the greenhouse into a hybrid lounge, and even creating a pond for their ducks—so there’s bound to be more to come!
Stacey & Joe was commissioned by Clare Sillery, Head of Commissioning, Documentaries, and is produced by Optomen. The series is led by Creative Directors Tina Flintoff and Nick Hornby, with Charlotte Brookes and Sara Evans serving as Executive Producers. Kit Simpson takes on the role of Series Producer, while Tom Yeates directs. The BBC Commissioning Editor for the project is Beejal-Maya Patel.
Discussing the new show, Clare Sillery, Head of Commissioning, BBC Documentaries, shared: “We’re thrilled to be working with Stacey and Joe on this incredibly special series as they open up the doors to their family home. In what promises to be an honest and heart-warming look into their world, full of joy, challenges and everything in between - this series offers a rare and intimate window as they navigate their way through the realities of raising a modern blended family.” (via BBC)
Charlotte Brookes, Head of Popular Factual at Optomen, added: “It's such a privilege to be able to make this series with one of Britain's most loved families. Stacey and Joe have welcomed us into their home and trusted us with unprecedented access as they share the beautifully chaotic ups and downs of life in Pickle Cottage.”
