Spotify now adds lyrics explanations to its Android app

Spotify partnered with Genius to bring a new feature to its iOS app last year. "Behind the Lyrics" takes the same annotations from Genius and bakes directly into the Spotify app.

According to the music streaming giant, million of iPhone users make use this daily life. Today, the functionality come to Android users. Then, behind the Lyrics offer Spotify users the ability to learn more about the process that goes into the song they are listening to. Whether, it deals with the artist or song, stories directly from that artist or even the inspiration for that track.

This Spotify says that the same success is guaranteed for Android version also. Spotify library including Behind the Lyrics: "Hip Hop and Today's Top Hits" are the two specific playlists that offer in this feature. In future, they will expand this album in Android.

The update to Android starts rolling out today. Spotify is available for download on Google Play.
