Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 3 has premiered and in just a day, Stephen Baldwin has walked out of the show! The quasi-military reality show brings together celebrities who attempt to pass military-level training and challenges. In this article, we will discuss why he left after jut 1 day on the show.
Stephen Baldwin, 58, is Hailey Bieber’s dad, and he was the first star to bid goodbye to the show during the Wednesday premiere of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 3. In the show, the actor said he wasn’t a Special Forces guy but had played one on TV. He also said that he had trained twice with military advisers.
The first task involved the 16 celebrities jumping from a speeding boat onto a helicopter that was flying side-by-side. Only half of them successfully climbed onto the copter and Stephen was actually one of them. However, by the end of the episode, he was worried about being injured and requested medical consultation with the on-duty doctor.
During the medical consultation, the actor said, “I smashed my meniscus on the helicopter today and my back is in knots and I can’t turn my head past there.” After a bit of back and forth with the doctor, he revealed his decision, “I have a gig right after this. The one condition for that gig is that I not get injured. It’s not worth it to me. It’s not worth it to have to go into a hospital for a couple of weeks.”
The doctor enquired if the actor was aware of the kind of tasks that were done on the show. To which he replied, “Yes, but I didn’t know I would definitely get injured.” Baldwin’s decision was communicated to the ex-Special Forces operatives and they seemed to believe that Stephen was looking for an excuse to leave. So they dismissed him.
Special Forces: The World’s Toughest Test airs on Fox Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
