Sony Unveils a Whole Slate of PS5 Accessories Including a Camera, Headset, Charging Dock & More!
Last updated June 21, 2021
You’ve probably heard by now that Sony has come up with competitive pricing for the PlayStation 5 consoles, which start at $399.99. However, the company also revealed the prices for PlayStation 5 accessories, so here’s how much you’ll need to pay to truly step into the next-generation gaming experience.
Perhaps the most important bit of information is related to Sony’s DualSense controller. The all-new PS5 controller will retail for $69.99, when it launches alongside the next-generation console, on November 12. This is $10 more compared to the price of the PS4’s DualShock 4 controller. Therefore, it looks like all that new tech comes at a (higher) price.

If you plan on using more than one controller, investing in a charging station seems like an excellent idea. This especially goes for those who want their entire gaming set up to follow a uniform design. Well, the price for the DualSense Charging Station will be $29.99.

As unveiled in June, Sony also prepared a whole slate of PS5 accessories. If you’re looking for new headphones, Sony’s Pulse3D wireless headset will come priced at $99.99. Keep in mind that the company has been pushing 3D audio technologies in a big way, so the chances are that you’ll need this headset if you want to take advantage of PS5’s new tech.
Then, there’s the PlayStation 5’s remote, priced at $29.99. Also, let’s not forget the HD Camera, which features dual 1080p lenses – to be priced at $59.99. The HD Camera will allow gamers to broadcast themselves directly from the PS5. Naturally, this makes us wonder about Sony’s VR ambitions, where the HD Camera can play a major role. However, there are no VR plans for the PS5, as of right now.

Finally, we’d like to note that no matter which version of the PlayStation 5 you buy, you will get a single DualSense controller in the packaging. If you need another controller, or perhaps if you’d like to enhance your experience of using the PS5, this is where Sony’s PS5 accessories come into play. Overall, it looks like Sony has decided to go with aggressive pricing, this time around.
