Sling TV announced that it has finally added a bunch of channels from Discovery Networks! Sling TV now offers nine extra channels for those who love to learn more.
According to the announcement, Sling TV is adding Discovery, TLC, Investigation Discovery, MotorTrend (formerly Velocity), American Heroes, Destination America, Science Channel, Discovery en Espanol, and Discovery Familia.
As you may already know, Sling TV comes with three main bundles you can pick from - Orange ($25/mo), Blue ($25/mo), and Orange + Blue ($40/mo). There are also loads of extra channel packs you can add and they're all grouped together by interests, which makes things that much better since you can customize it all to your heart's desire.
So, here's where you'll find the channels from Discovery Network. The Blue bundle carries Discovery and TLC, while MotorTrend is present in the Orange bundle. Investigation Discovery can be found in both. All of these are, of course, present in the Orange + Blue bundle too.
American Heroes and Destination America go over to Heartland Extra, which is $5 per month, while the Science Channel goes to the News Extra, which is another $5 per month. Discovery en Espanol and Discovery Familia go over to Best of Spanish, which makes sense since the broadcast is in Spanish.
Subscribers get the channels automatically added to their packages and if you don't see them yet, you might need to refresh the app - close and reopen it. If that doesn't work, try signing out and back in again. You'll be able to set Sling TV to record any of your favorite shows when you're not home, and you'll also get access to on-demand content from the networks.
