Sling TV has a few more channels to offer and Roku users can add them up even if they don't have a Sling TV subscription. You can get all this new content by simply paying for access, the platform said, enumerating Magnolia Selects, DOX, Warriors & Gangsters, Monsters & Nightmares, and Stingray Qello.
According to Sling TV, these channels can be added to your list on Roku with or without a Sling TV subscription, but they are also available to regular subscribers.
You can start off by adding Magnolia Selects for $5 per month, which offers a large library of independent features, including Oscar-winning documentaries like Man on Wire, or comedies like Alan Partridge.
On top of having access to the film library, Magnolia Selects also offers a curated suite of standalone channels that focus on specific movie genres for $3 per month. DOX, for instance, features great documentaries and docuseries, while Warriors & Gangsters come with adrenaline-filled movies. Monsters & Nightmares features horror, sci-fi and thriller movies, while Stingray Qello, which is $8 per month, offers on-demand full-length concert films and music documentaries so you can watch recordings of live performances from the likes of Beyonce, Elton John, or Blake Shelton to name a few.
Sling TV has also added FilmRise and Genius Brands Network to the free experience on Roku devices, so you can watch them at no expense. FilmRise features classic TV series and popular movies, while Genius Brands Network is targeted towards children with some great shows. The Genius Brands Network full standalone channel is available for $4 per month.
