Cast

Sister Wives follows the lives of Kody Brown and his four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn, along with their 18 children.

The series chronicles the family's journey from Utah, where they faced legal challenges due to polygamy, to Las Vegas, and finally to Flagstaff, Arizona, where they aimed to establish a dream compound. However, as the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted their interactions, tensions within the marriages began to surface.

As the older children moved away for college, got married, and started families of their own, Kody's relationships with his wives deteriorated. How will Sister Wives Season 19 deal with Garrison Brown’s Death?

While the family appears ready to start another season, events took a tragic turn on March 5, when it was announced that Janelle and Kody’s son, Garrison, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The news shocked many, especially considering Garrison was just 25 and beginning to rebuild his life in Arizona. Although he had a tumultuous relationship with his father, he remained very close to his mother.

As a result, the show will not be canceled; instead, season 19 will include a fast-forward to address the aftermath of Garrison's death. A press release stated, "This season, the family faces the devastating passing of Janelle and Kody’s son, Garrison Brown. Through the heartbreaking pain, the family navigates this incredible tragedy and comes together to mourn and celebrate his life."

Reports from The Sun confirmed that the show was in production during Garrison’s passing. A family source noted that "his unexpected death came during the timeline of filming," and that TLC intends to continue exploring the storyline, given the focus on Garrison's strained relationship with Kody last season. Fans can expect to learn more about what happened to him as the season unfolds.
