It's been four years since MoviePass got itself a solid competitor from Europe. Sinemia, just like MoviePass, is a monthly subscription service which gives its users access to movie tickets at a lower cost than usual. Today, the company has launched its new monthly subscription prices and they are as low as they can get:

The reason Sinemia became such a good competition to the MoviePass service, is because of the different business model they are using which gives its users a lot more perks. For example, even though monthly subscriptions are per ticket, their users can watch 3D, 4D, and IMAX movies, while that is not the case with MoviePass. On the other hand, for $9.99 per month, MoviePass gives you an unlimited number of movies to watch. However, MoviePass requires you to go to the theater in order to purchase the tickets, while Sinemia users can do that online.

According to Tech Crunch, Sinemia is planning to launch its services in countries throughout Asia while at the same time its subscriptions are rising by 50 percent every month, therefore putting a lot of pressure on MoviePass. Earlier this year, MoviePass had sued Sinemia for copyright infringement, claiming that they have stolen many of the MoviePass features and also violated their patents for automatic authentication and their ticketing system. The litigation is still in motion and no one knows how will the epilogue of this trial affect Sinemia and its subscription count.
