What is the plot of RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Untucked Season 2?

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live Untucked is back for season two, serving up all the backstage drama, unfiltered emotions, and late-night gossip straight from the heart of the Las Vegas strip. This six-part docuseries pulls back the curtain on the wildly popular stage show RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!—produced by World of Wonder and Voss Events—and follows the queens as they work, live, and let loose in Sin City.

Returning to the spotlight are fan-favorite Drag Race alumni Derrick Barry, Bosco, Kennedy Davenport, Latrice Royale, and others. This season, they’re joined by newly crowned season 16 winner Nymphia Wind, whose arrival was teased in a sneak peek released by World of Wonder.

RuPaul's Drag Race Live was the first Vegas show I ever saw, before I even auditioned for Drag Race,” Nymphia told PEOPLE. “To grace the Flamingo stage as the reigning winner of Season 16 is such a full circle moment. Performing in Vegas is unlike anywhere else and I was so excited to hit the stage with my sisters every night. Tune in to RuPaul's Drag Race Live Untucked to watch the banana queen make her way into Sin City!”

Season two sticks to the beloved format from season one, combining a docu-style look at the queens’ daily lives with an intimate, all-access pass to what happens before and after the curtain rises. It promises to capture everything—from dazzling stage moments and behind-the-scenes meltdowns to real friendships and the chaotic energy of life in one of Las Vegas' biggest residencies.

The series is also positioned as a continuation of the Untucked legacy that has long been a staple of the Drag Race franchise, evolving it into a deeper look at life beyond the werkroom. With RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! recently celebrating its 1,000th performance, you can expect plenty of heartfelt moments, backstage mishaps, and yes—more than a little bit of celebratory chaos.

Backstage camaraderie and personal revelations are also spotlighted. Bosco confidently declares, “I am a very, very f**king good drag queen,” showcasing the performers' self-assurance. The trailer emphasizes the transformative power of drag. Kennedy Davenport passionately states, “This is what I've always wanted to do and that's entertain the world,” highlighting her dedication to the art form.

In the sneak peek of RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Untucked season two, winner Nymphia Wind brings her signature charm and chaos to Las Vegas — and she’s bursting with excitement.

The clip opens with longtime Drag Race Live! cast member Derrick Barry waiting outside the Flamingo Hotel. Moments later, Nymphia comes running in for a big hug, exclaiming, “I’m so excited I’m finally here!” before twirling dramatically under the Vegas lights. She gushes, “I have to tell you some tea. [Drag Race] Vegas Live is my first Vegas show ever when I arrived here in 2022, so I’m finally going to go backstage, and I’m very excited.”

But the excitement quickly turns into comic dread when Derrick starts giving her a backstage tour. “Every day we’re going to go up these stairs,” Derrick says, pointing to a long flight. Nymphia immediately panics: “What do you mean? This is a workout! I can’t make it! Can I move my dressing room downstairs?

When Derrick bluntly responds, “No. There are no dressing rooms downstairs,” Nymphia tries one last desperate plea: “But I’m a winner!

The sneak peek perfectly captures Nymphia’s infectious energy, her diva-worthy complaints, and the fun dynamic between the queens as she joins the Vegas cast for the first time.
