With cord cutting on the rise, Sony is making it easier for PlayStation Vue users to get access to popular TV content without needing a cable connection. Starting today, PS Vue users will be able to get access to FX content through a paid add-on. FX+ on PS Vue costs the same as its standalone counterpart with a price tag of $6 per month. It is a completely ad-free experience and includes popular TV content.
The paid upgrade is available for all Sony PS Vue subscription options including Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra. FX+ includes all current content from FX, FXX, and their older content, along with some older home production shows. The partnership between Sony and FX comes shortly after the channel expanded to all cable customers in the United States.

The optional upgrade should make most cord cutting fans of FX TV shows happy as the partnership with Sony allows them to offer their content to online-only users without a cable connection. The package includes a lot of popular shows like Sons of Anarchy, Atlanta, Archer and more and includes over a thousand episodes of content. FX also has multiple long-running original series that are ongoing as well as upcoming shows that have been planned for release in the near future.
PS Vue received a price update recently which raised the prices of four of its core subscription plans by $5 from July 24. The addition of the new FX addon makes Sony’s live streaming service even more expensive than it already was. However, other live TV services like DirecTV Now, YouTube TV and Sling TV also have hiked their subscription plans recently as well.
