Playing With Fire explores the dark side of obsession and attraction. This thriller follows a married couple who have an ideal relationship. But their relationship gets tested when after a near-fatal fire, a firefighter tries to come in between them. He plays mind games and uses psychological manipulation to end their marriage just so that he can win the wife’s affections.Â
When simple flirtations transform into dangerous manipulations, can the couple fight back to protect their marriage and lives? With an obsessive suitor who will stop at nothing to have the wife, they will have to put everything on the line to escape. The film explores the psychological torment inflicted by a near-fatal accident and also by the one who is supposed to be their rescuer.Â

Playing With Fire was filmed in Ontario, specifically in and around Ottawa. Principal photography got underway on August 10, 2024, and was wrapped up by the end of the same month.
Playing with Fire is directed by Alexandre Carrière, with a script by Caroline Portu. Sebastian Battro, Tom Berry, and Barbara Fisher are the executive producers, while Steve Boisvert and Brendan McNeill are the producers.
