Another hard-fought clash awaits the defending Western Conference champions Phoenix Suns on Tuesday evening as they take on fellow playoff hopefuls Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center. This should be a cracking battle between two teams that have no shortage when it comes to world-class NBA superstars.
The Phoenix Suns have hardly put a foot wrong so far this season. Some expected a drop in performances from them after last season's run to the NBA Finals. But they have been exceptional so far, with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton leading the charge towards another appearance in the Finals. Their run so far has included a franchise-record winning streak. A win away to the dangerous Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday would be another big boost to their hopes.
The Portland Trail Blazers have lost their way a little in recent games, suffering five defeats in a row. That is not a record a team with playoff ambitions should have. With star man Damian Lillard now back, the Trail Blazers will want to go on a winning streak and improve on their current standing of tenth place in the Western Conference charts. But they will need to be at their best both offensively and defensively to stand any chance against the Suns.
The game will be broadcast locally in the Phoenix Suns market on the Bally Sports AZ network. The game will also be broadcast live nationally on TNT, with a live stream available on Sling TV.
