If you're a Philo subscriber, you will finally be able to view the service's content through the Apple TV app while authenticated since Philo's recent app update has added support for Apple TV users. The update also includes Single Sign-On, a feature that gives subscribers the ability to store the service as their TV provider into TV Everywhere (TVE) apps. The update to version 3.0. also includes universal search, deep-linking additions, improved authentication and subscription registration, and a Live Tune-In feature.
Users can access the single sign-on features via the settings app on their iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. If you choose your TV provider there, you will not have to log in again with your Philo credentials.
Philo stands out from its contemporaries by deliberately not including cable news networks, local TV stations, and sports in its channel lineup. Some channels include AMC, Discovery, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, TLC, MTV, Hallmark, Viacom, Animal Planet, and more. This means that you can easily watch your favorite sitcoms, dramas, and other entertainment TV.
Another attractive selling point for the platform is a relatively inexpensive way to stream live TV. The OTT streaming TV service has a subscription fee of $25 per month. They offer unlimited DVR and a 7-day free trial as well. Apart from Apple devices, you can also watch Philo on streaming platforms and devices like Android TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, and Roku.
