Watching Paramount Plus with Chromecast is perfectly possible, but sometimes you may have some issues and your video won't play. So, if you're having trouble casting a Paramount Plus show, we're going to tell you how to fix this.

The issues you face when streaming over Chromecast can vary, so the solution to the problem will depend on that too. It's all rather easy to fix if you know how to do it.

What to Do When Unable to Connect to Chromecast

If you can't connect to your Chromecast, you need to make sure that both your Chromecast device and the device you're using Paramount Plus on are connected to the same WiFi network.

You can check on your phone by going into the Settings area and on your Chromecast by going into Google Home, selecting Devices, and the three-dot menu for Chromecast.

Go into Settings and check the WiFi network name that the device is connected to.

What to Do If the Paramount Plus App Is Crashing

Another issue you can encounter is for the Paramount Plus app to crash. Issues may appear, especially if you use an old Paramount Plus version. The app will get frequent updates as they try to iron out various issues, so you should always keep it on the latest version. Turn on automatic updates if possible.

What to Do If There's Radio Interference With Chromecast?

The Chromecast 1, the original device released by Google, is susceptible to radio interference from 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz sources. Now, this is an issue that you can't fix as easily as you did other problems thus far, and you'll need to refer to your WiFi router or ISP's instructions on how to change the channel frequency from within your WiFi router. So, grab the instruction manual, reach out to the manufacturers, and try to solve this issue as soon as possible.

There you have it. These are the known issues that happen while casting Paramount Plus content via Chromecast. If any others pop up along the way, we'll try to address those too. In the meantime, we hope you'll be able to seamlessly enjoy your Paramount Plus content via Chromecast anytime you want.
