Nokia's flagship smartphone named Nokia 9 might be the next handset device. According to the report of NokiaPowerUser.com, HMD Global is considering the idea of adding an iris scanner- a biometric system considered safer than fingerprint sensor or facial recognition system.
The Nokia 9 will feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD OLED display(1440*2560) and will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box. The handset is also likely to offer 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB storage and powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC. Nokia 9 is also rumored to come with 'OZO' audio enhancements, which hints at some kind of support for virtual reality.
Nokia sells a $45,000 professional VR camera under OZO branding and it is also rumored to house a 3800mAh battery with support for Qualcomm's Quick Charge 4.0 Technology.
The new smartphone will feature a 22MP duel-lens camera with carl Zeiss and a 12MP front facing the camera. The Android phones will include IP68 Water and Dust Resistance and a fingerprint scanner.
Further, the upcoming smartphone is said to feature an Iris Scanner in Nokia 8, just like the Galaxy S8 and S8+.
