With the popularity of battle royale games showing no signs of decline, Fortnite by Epic Games is rumored to be coming to yet another platform. After seeing PC, console and mobile releases, the game is set to be released on the Nintendo Switch. With Nintendo’s E3 announcement coming soon, we can expect a Fortnite port according to a leaked E3 games list that points towards the game’s release for the portable console.

Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode is a survival shooter game similar to the likes of PUBG and H1Z1. The game has millions of users logging in to play each day in hundred-player maps. The game has cartoony graphics and a casual setting to it, making it easily accessible to players from any background. There are co-op modes with two player and squad setups available if you want to play with friends.

A leaked list of E3 games was posted on 4Chan forums earlier today with Eurogamer confirming it to be a legitimate leak; we should expect the game’s announcement anytime soon. Fortnite is already available on iOS, and an Android release is expected in the coming months. While Android and iOS versions are touch-only, the Switch version is likely to have both Joy-Con and touch control support.

Nintendo has other ports lined up for this year’s E3 as well. We should get Paladins and Dragon Ball FighterZ ports as well as a new Mario Tennis game. We should also get more details on the recently announced Pokemon games at E3. With Nintendo’s console selling more than 17.8 million units as of April 2018, more publishers are turning to the console for ports and exclusives to cash in on the sales the platform is experiencing.
