Cat lovers of the world are in luck! Kadokawa revealed on Tuesday that Kyuryu Z's Nights with a Cat (Yoru wa Neko to Issho) manga is inspiring an anime adaptation. In addition to the exciting announcement, the production team has also released a teaser visual along with the names of its main staff members.
Creator Kyuryu Z also shared commemorative artwork that sees a cat casually walking over a laptop. Read on to know everything we know about the series so far.
According to Kadokawa's latest announcement, an anime adaptation of Kyuru Z's Nights with a Cat manga is in the works. The platform also revealed that the series would release sometime in the summer. Kyuryu Z first posted the manga on a personal Twitter account, where it became a popular hit. Kadokawa published the manga's second print volume in May 2021 and will release the third volume on Thursday.

Nights with a Cat is being directed and written by ISEKAI QUARTET's Minoru Ashina at Studio PuYUKAI. Minoru Takehara will serve as the animation director and character designer, with Kana Utatane as music composer and Fumiyuki Go as sound director. Additional details about the anime, such as cast and format, have yet to be revealed.
Yen Press, which will officially publish the manga series' first volume in English on June 21, describes the series as:
"When Fuuta comes home tired at night, all he wants to do is spend time with his new cat. All the mysterious habits and mannerisms of house cats are carefully reproduced in this relaxed and cute comedy about living with an adorable furball!"
