This Superbowl brought a new clip for the highly anticipated How to Train Your Dragon live-action film. So, what was shown in the video clip and what can we expect from the film? In this article, we will discuss that and more. 

What was Shown in the How to Train Your Dragon live Action clip at the 2025 Superbowl?

The short 30-second clip of the upcoming How to Train Your Dragon live-action film focused mainly on the action sequences. It begins with Mason Thames’ Hiccup saying, “I am the first Viking, who wouldn’t kill a dragon.” This is followed up by Nico Parker’s Astrid saying, “First to ride one though.”

The clip features Hiccup and Toothless flying as they try to escape a fire-breathing dragon. We also get a good glimpse at the other dragons. Check out the new clip below:

This is the synopsis of the film:

“On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society. With the fierce and ambitious Astrid and the village’s quirky blacksmith Gobber by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding. How to Train Your Dragon is directed by Dean DeBlois and adapted from Cressida Cowell’s books. He also directed as well as wrote the first three animated films in the franchise. All 3 were box-office hits. The animated franchise has grossed upwards of $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office as well as earned four oscar nominations.

How to Train Your Dragon will be in theaters from Friday, June 13, 2025.
