The 2024 MTV Video Music Award nominations have been announced, and it's no surprise that Taylor Swift leads with 10 nominations. She got eight nods for the Fortnight music video from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. She is followed by Post Malone, who worked with Swift on Fortnight and earned eight nominations for it, and one more for his country song, I Had Some Help, featuring Morgan Wallen.
Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, and Eminem each have six nods; Megan Thee Stallion and SZA have five each; and LISA (of Blackpink), Olivia Rodrigo, and Teddy Swims each have four nominations. This year, there are 29 first-time nominees, including Gracie Abrams, LE SSERAFIM, Morgan Wallen, Tyla, Coco Jones, and more.
Fan voting is open in 15 categories, including video of the year, until Aug. 30. The best new artist category will accept votes until showtime on Sept. 10. Here's everything we know so far about the 2024 VMAs, including the release date, where you can watch it, the complete list of nominations, who's hosting and performing, and more.
