Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon) is a popular slice-of-life anime. The series narrates the everyday life of Tooru, a self-proclaimed 'Dragon maid,' the stoic office lady, Kobayashi, and a little dragon named Kanna. As this found family struggles to adjust to their new life, chaos ensues.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid’s season 1 saw a lot of mixed and extreme reviews from the audience. Some loved it dearly, while the others saw it as another generic try-hard anime. The issue they had with the series was with the characters and comedy itself. The constant repetition of gags without any development during the series reduced the viewer’s enjoyment of this anime. Furthermore, despite posing as a slice-of-life, there was a lot of jarring fanservice that disrupted the mood of the plot.

However, despite all these issues, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon has been highly rated in the community. Due to its popularity, a second season has just been released, making now the perfect time to start with the series.

We have compiled an article listing Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon’s watch order for those interested but clueless on where to start. Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is based on a Japanese manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Coolkyousinnjya. The anime television series was adapted by Kyoto Animation and aired in Japan between January and April 2017. A second season titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S premiered in July 2021 and is currently ongoing.

The story follows Kobayashi, an average office worker who lived a boring life alone in her small apartment. However, it turns out that after coming across a dragon on a drunken excursion to the mountains, she offered the creature a place to stay in her home. Thus, the following day Tooru had arrived to cash in on the offer, ready to repay Kobayashi's kindness by working as her personal maidservant, whether the latter liked it or not.

However, as time passes, it seems that the circumstances behind the dragon's arrival on Earth are much more complicated than at first glance. To top it all off, Tooru's presence ends up attracting and bringing in a host of eccentric personalities to her new home. Following Kobayashi, as she tries to handle the crazy situation that she has found herself in, the audience is in for an entertaining ride.
