Netflix's high-stakes reality competition, Million Dollar Secret, intensified with episodes four to six, released on April 2, 2025. The game, which challenges contestants to uncover a hidden millionaire among them, saw shocking eliminations, major power shifts, and strategic chaos that kept players and viewers on edge. Let’s break down these episodes one by one!

Episode 4: The Millionaire Unmasked

Titled "Hot Seat for Three," episode four saw suspicions narrow to Phil, Corey, and Sydnee following Lauren’s elimination. The contestants faced a whiskey-themed challenge that split them into three teams, racing between a distillery and a glacier to craft the perfect drink for host Peter Serafinowicz. Team A (Phil, Sydnee, and Kyle) claimed victory, earning access to a trophy room clue.

Kyle learned that the millionaire had completed an agenda inspired by a “very famous horror movie.” This led the house to connect the dots to Scream—and Phil’s suspicious encouragement for others to scream in the previous challenge.

Instead of simplifying the vote, the revelation divided the house. Rather than eliminating him outright, players debated the best move—oust Phil to ensure the money changed hands or take out a strong competitor. Tensions escalated, culminating in a dramatic elimination vote left on a cliffhanger, leaving viewers wondering whether Phil would survive.

Episode 5: A New Millionaire and a Power Shift

Episode five, "The Kill Shot," opened with the resolution of the cliffhanger—Phil was voted out, making him the first successfully identified millionaire of the season. His emotional farewell had some contestants in tears, though Lydia remained skeptical of the group’s sentimentality.

But the victory was short-lived. The million dollars immediately transferred to Sam, who was given a secret mission: to ask three contestants if they heard a “ringing sound.” If even one said yes, she would gain the unprecedented ability to eliminate any player of her choosing. If she failed, she’d receive three automatic elimination votes.

Sam targeted Lydia first, and though initially unsuccessful, Lydia later mentioned hearing distant dogs barking—technically fulfilling the mission. This granted Sam the ultimate elimination power, throwing the game into chaos.

At dinner, Jaimi’s team won a challenge clue revealing that “the millionaire is lying about their profession.” This clue put Sam at risk, as she had concealed her true job as a police officer & claimed she had worked as a dental office manager before COVID, raising doubts about her story. However, suspicions shifted to Sydnee after she revealed she had two jobs, providing Sam with an escape route.

As the elimination voting concluded, Peter shocked the house by tearing up the ballots, announcing that Sam’s successful mission voided the vote. Sam then exercised her newfound power, eliminating Lydia in a calculated move that kept suspicion away from her.

Episode 6: Strategic Betrayals and Another Elimination

With Lydia gone, episode six titled, “911, Misdemeanor, Handcuffs” forced contestants to rethink their strategies. A deception-based challenge—essentially a ‘Is It Cake?’ twist—required players to determine fake dishes from real ones. Meanwhile, tensions flared as Jaimi emerged as a major target after spearheading Lydia’s elimination. Sensing an opportunity, Sam distanced herself from Jaimi and subtly convinced others to vote her out.

The episode also saw the once-tight bond between Sydnee and Chris fracture. Chris openly admitted to voting for Sydnee, shocking and angering her. In retaliation, she began rallying votes against him, arguing that he was the secret millionaire.

Meanwhile, Sam’s latest secret agenda required three contestants to say “Justin Timberlake.” After successfully completing the task, she retained her millionaire status. A trophy room win for Cara, Sam, Chris, and Corey allowed Corey to check Jaimi’s box—only to discover it was empty, proving she wasn’t the millionaire.

Peter then assigned Corey a new covert mission: make another contestant say “911, handcuffs, and misdemeanor.” The focus soon shifted to Chris, whose behavior had already raised suspicions. Ultimately, he was voted out, only for the house to discover he wasn’t the millionaire either, leaving the game more unpredictable than ever.

What’s next?

With power shifting rapidly, alliances crumbling, and the millionaire’s identity constantly changing, Million Dollar Secret continues to deliver thrilling deception and mind games. As the competition tightens, the remaining contestants must decide whether to follow logic—or their gut—to survive.
