On September 2016, The company Microsoft announced the Excel World Championship competition. The Excel World Championship participants will be tested through questions focusing on Data Management, Data Visualization and Formula Writing.

In the year 2016, the month of October to November, Microsoft would run four rounds of excel tests for residents of selected countries. Only a top competitors in each round would be selected to next round. Finally, the winner will compete against one another for the title of Excel World Championship and a prize in which a trip to Seattle, USA and a  meeting with Excel Product Leads to provide feedback on the next features added to Excel.

After the completion of all round, only 14 people are selected in the world at their craft, met in Seattle last week to answer one question: "Do I have what it takes to be the best?" Most of them said NO, but a man from Canada willing to put Hockey, Poutine and Molsen Ice on the back-burner while tirelessly for a decade. This kind of activity didn't come naturally, he is the one who got success against this level of competition. For Ghanzfar Abidi, it's heart and a love for PivotTables.

Today, the top dog was a Canadian man, Abidi. But he knows, in this cut-throat world of high-stakes competition, winners don’t get to enjoy the spoils of victory for long. In the whole year, it's back to the coliseum to do battle with a new round of hungry gladiators. Few of them make it out alive, but he is the one who welcomes the challenge. This is the reason why he is selected as a World Championship.
