Mad Max: Fury Road follows Theron’s Imperator Furiosa alongside Tom Hardy as Max Rochatansky. The two help five women flee across a barren wasteland from the rule of Immortan Joe. In the prequel film, Furiosa, we learn the origin story of the titular character amid a brewing war between Immortan Joe and Dementus.
