Sunday's "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 4th Live! ~Love the Life We Live~" concert debuted a new promotional video. The video announced a second season for the "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club" anime. Sunday's concert also announced that the project's 5th Live concert would be later this year.
The series follows a group of individual school idols who compete while working together to keep their school idol club alive. The first season aired 13 episodes on Tokyo MX from October 3 to December 26, 2020. Nijigasaki High School Idol Club performed both the opening and ending themes for the first season, respectively titled "Nijiiro Passions!" and "Neo Sky, Neo Map!".
Fans can watch Season 1 of the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club on Funimation and Crunchyroll. Funimation is also streaming the first season in English dub.
The second season of "Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club" is slated to release on April 2 at 10:00 PM (5:15 AM PT). The season will premiere on the Tokyo MX and BS11 channels. It will also run on Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, TV Hokkido, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co., Ltd., and Shizuoka Broadcasting System, in Japan.

"Nijigasaki High School is known for their diverse subjects and the freedom they give to students. Second-year student Yu Takasaki has been turned on to the charms of school idols, so she knocks on the door of the School Idol Club with her friend, Ayumu Uehara. Sometimes friends, sometimes rivals, the members of this club each contribute their own thoughts and motivations to the group."
