Lioness, a spy thriller series that follows a female CIA officer completing a classified assignment is an underrated show in multiple ways. But it has developed a cult-like fanbase that would love to see the show, which is currently airing its second season, get a season 3.
In this article, we will discuss whether Lioness has been renewed for season 3 and what are the future possibilities according to star Zoe Saldana.
At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation regarding the renewal of Lioness season 3. But in an interview with Vanity Fair, actress Zoe Saldana, who stars as Joe, the head of the CIA’s Lioness Program seemingly unintentionally gave fans a little hope for a possible third season.
The actress said, “I signed up for three seasons at least, and so you do have a sort of contractual obligation to fulfill.” Now, it doesn’t mean that the show will surely get a renewal, but it does open up the possibility of there at least being another season to wrap up the show.
If there is a season 3 renewal and if production begins immediately, then we might get to see it arriving in the fall of 2025 or early 2026.
Lioness season two is streaming exclusively on Paramount+. Season 1 is available for streaming on the site as well.
