Plot

Avery and Logan haven't crossed paths in a decade since their breakup. But things take a complicated turn when they discover that their current partners are siblings, forcing them to spend Christmas under the same roof. Despite their unresolved feelings, Avery suggests they keep their past hidden to avoid awkward moments.

However, this proves more challenging than expected as being in close quarters reignites old sparks. 

The film also introduces Erica Morgan, the family's matriarch, whose own dynamics add to the festive chaos. Amid family drama and surprises, Avery and Logan must navigate their complicated history while trying to keep the peace.

Is a Lindsay Lohan and Tim Meadows Reunion Happening in Our Little Secret?     

Yes, Lindsay Lohan and Mean Girls co-star Tim Meadows will reunite in Our Little Secret. The pair will be sharing the screen again, two decades after the release of their iconic teen comedy. Meadows portrays Stan, a friend of the Morgan family, while Lohan plays a central character in the Netflix film. Despite keeping in touch over the years, Meadows shared that working with Lohan again was “really lovely,” and they had a great time on set, with Lohan even initiating a memorable photo-op together. She described the reunion as a “full circle” moment, full of laughter and nostalgia.

Filming

Filming for Our Little Secret kicked off in Atlanta in late Jan. 2024 and was originally scheduled to wrap by Feb. 19th. However, production extended slightly beyond the anticipated timeline, officially concluding on February 29th, 2024.

Behind the Scenes

Written by Hailey DeDominicis and directed by Stephen Herek (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Dog Gone), Our Little Secret marks Lohan's second collaboration with Netflix. This project is part of a two-picture deal Lohan signed with the streaming giant in March 2022.

Director Stephen Herek brings his expertise to this film, having previously worked on Afterlife of the Party and Dog Gone for Netflix. His notable career also includes hits like Mr. Holland’s Opus and Critters. For writer Hailey DeDominicis, this project represents her first major venture into Hollywood screenwriting.

Produced by Mike Elliott and Lisa Gooding, with Joseph P. Genier as executive producer, Our Little Secret is Lohan's third movie for Netflix. Her first, Falling for Christmas (2022), marked her acting comeback and enjoyed significant success on the platform, spending six weeks in the top 10. 

Initially developed under the working title Merry Ex-Mas, Netflix officially confirmed the final title, Our Little Secret, in January 2024.
