Laid-Back Camp Anime Film Unveils New Trailer & Visuals Ahead of July Release

The upcoming anime film, Laid-Back Camp, has just provided viewers with a preview of the story. A brand new trailer has been released for fans, in addition to several character visuals. Moreover, the story details for the upcoming film have also been revealed. Laid-Back Camp is originally a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Afro.

The manga was first serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine from July 2015 to February 2019 before transferring to Comic Fuz. The manga is licensed in North America by Yen Press. An anime television series adaptation by C-Station aired in Japan from January to March 2018; the anime was co-financed and licensed by Crunchyroll. A second anime season aired from January to April 2021. A spin-off anime titled Heya Camp aired from January to March 2020.

The upcoming Laid-Back Camp anime film will release in Japanese theaters on July 1! The newly released trailer features the latest energetic opening theme from Asaka, titled "Sun Is Coming Up." It also gives fans a glance into the story, where the now-graduated cast reunites to attempt to build their camping ground. Check it out:

Eri Sasaki, who performed the main theme song for the Laid-Back Camp spin-off, will perform "Mimosa" for the ending theme. Fans looking to check out the slice-of-life anime series, watch the first two seasons, and spin-off on Crunchyroll! The anime streaming giant describes the story of Laid-Back Camp as:

"Nadeshiko, a high school student who had moved from Shizuoka to Yamanashi, decides to see the famous, 1000 yen-bill-featured Mount Fuji. Even though she manages to bike all the way to Motosu, she's forced to turn back because of worsening weather. Unable to set her eyes on her goal, she faints partway to her destination. When she wakes up, it's night, in a place she's never been before, with no way of knowing how to get home. Nadeshiko is saved when she encounters Rin, a girl who is out camping by herself. This outdoorsy girls story begins with this first encounter between Nadeshiko and Rin."
